Here's a scorchin' rockabilly offering by Bill Logsdon and his Royal Notes. On the scarce ATHENA label. The same sides would be released as The Royal Notes but on the DESTINY label. I'm not sure if the cuts were redone. This shows up on many comps.
Bill Logsdon-Come To My House Rock
I found your site when I was doing a search for Bill Logsdon and I'm glad I did. This is a cool song (much better than the single by The Harmonaires I recently found on this same label) and there is alot of other great stuff here I will be enjoying! The 45 that brought me here is Bill Logsdon and His Royal Notes on Queensgate. Songs are Turning Back The Pages Of Time / Big Black Train. Do you know anything about this one because I could find absolutely nothing. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi... Thanks for stopping by. Nope, can't help you on the Queensgate label 45. Good luck, info gotta be out there somewhere!!

ReplyDeleteCarlos, I am honored to hear from you on behalf of your father. What a great song. It is great to share with others so they too can enjoy. Best Regards.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD! Where did you find this?! William Carlos Logsdon was my beloved great uncle.(Through his sister Helen, my Granny). We were very close and i truly adored my "Uncle Carlus". We used to go to his place on Red Lick in Estill Co Ky and listen to him and the Bear Mountain Boys.He could play anything and was quite a character. Hes buried in Logsdon cemetary, less than a mile from his old place, and only a few feet from my Dads grave, and my Granny. Thank you for putting this site up. He would have loved it.
